Capacity × (POA irradiation / STC reference irradiance, G_STC = 1 kW/m²) × performance ratio; crop and PV yield ratios summed.
Scenario arithmetic is not measured crop response or evidence of a causal benefit.
The public website hosts a read-only synthetic projection. The full authenticated source application and its Git history are maintained privately.
All fixtures are fictional. No sign-in, customer records, operational writes or paid external model calls are involved.

Governing Equations, Inputs, Outputs & Dimensional Conventions
The equations below describe model assumptions. Consult the app metadata for the published edition; these equations alone do not demonstrate runtime execution or validation:
Declared Units & Arithmetic Conventions: Nameplate PV capacity P_STC in kW; time-integrated plane-of-array irradiation H_POA in kWh/m²/yr; STC reference irradiance G_STC = 1 kW/m² (so H_POA / G_STC has units of peak-sun hours, h); performance ratio (PR) dimensionless (0–1); field area in hectares (ha); energy yield in kWh/yr and kWh/ha/yr; Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) dimensionless.
Scope & Operational Boundary: Agrivoltaic energy and land-equivalent-ratio scenario calculations. Not developer tooling or measured agronomic/field-yield validation.

Illustrative Worked Example & Reference Table
Illustrative Worked Example: Case 1 (4 ha shared field, P_STC = 100 kW agrivoltaic array, 35% coverage, POA irradiation H_POA = 1,400 kWh/m², G_STC = 1 kW/m², PR = 0.80, crop yield ratio = 0.70, reference monoculture PV yield = 140,000 kWh/ha): Annual PV energy E_AC = 100 kW × (1,400 kWh/m² / 1 kW/m²) × 0.80 = 112,000 kWh (28,000 kWh/ha). PV relative yield = 28,000 / 140,000 = 0.20. Combined Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) = 0.70 + 0.20 = 0.90.
| Case ID | Area (ha) | P_STC (kW) | H_POA (kWh/m²) | PR | Annual Energy (kWh) | Crop Ratio | PV Ratio | Combined LER |

How to Use Solstice Field Lab in 3 Reproducible Steps
- Select a Baseline Scenario or Practice Module: Open the interactive browser runtime and choose one of the shipped synthetic presets or diagnostic modules to load its documented input parameters and unit declarations.
- Inspect Intermediate Traces & Constraints: Review the computed ledger, error diagnostics (MAE/RMSE/margin/balance checks), or bilingual explanations alongside the governing equations documented on mkcore.co.technology/methodology/.
- Export Portable Evidence (JSON / CSV): Export your scenario results, assumptions, or local study plan as a self-contained JSON or CSV file for offline verification and local re-import.
Methodological & Boundary FAQs
What mathematical model and units does Solstice Field Lab use?
Solstice Field Lab applies E_AC [kWh] = P_STC [kW] × (H_POA [kWh/m²] / G_STC [kW/m²]) × PR (with G_STC = 1 kW/m² under STC); Energy_per_ha = E_AC / Area (ha); PV_Yield_Ratio = Energy_per_ha / Ref_PV_Yield (kWh/ha); LER = Crop_Yield_Ratio + PV_Yield_Ratio. Units: Nameplate PV capacity P_STC in kW; time-integrated plane-of-array irradiation H_POA in kWh/m²/yr; STC reference irradiance G_STC = 1 kW/m² (so H_POA / G_STC has units of peak-sun hours, h); performance ratio (PR) dimensionless (0–1); field area in hectares (ha); energy yield in kWh/yr and kWh/ha/yr; Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) dimensionless.
What are the operational boundaries and limitations of Solstice Field Lab?
Agrivoltaic energy and land-equivalent-ratio scenario calculations. Not developer tooling or measured agronomic/field-yield validation. The public edition uses synthetic or precomputed demonstration fixtures; executable capabilities require separate verification.
How can I reproduce the benchmark results in Solstice Field Lab?
Open the interactive browser workspace at ./run/, select Case 1 to inspect the worked result (Case 1 (4 ha shared field, P_STC = 100 kW agrivoltaic array, 35% coverage, POA irradiation H_POA = 1,400 kWh/m², G_STC = 1 kW/m², PR = 0.80, crop yield ratio = 0.70, reference monoculture PV yield = 140,000 kWh/ha): Annual PV energy E_AC = 100 kW × (1,400 kWh/m² / 1 kW/m²) × 0.80 = 112,000 kWh (28,000 kWh/ha). PV relative yield = 28,000 / 140,000 = 0.20. Combined Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) = 0.70 + 0.20 = 0.90.), and export the JSON or CSV evidence ledger.
